Tivua Island Fiji
Cruise, swim, explore and relax.

Tivua Island is close enough to Nadi to be the perfect destination for an introduction to cruising the islands of Fiji. Set sail by tall ship to this pristine island, surrounded by 500 acres of spectacular coral reef. Tivua Island is a sanctuary for turtles during the nesting season, and is surrounded by a circle of white sandy beaches.

Sailing aboard the brigantine Ra Marama or Topsail Schooner, Spirit of the Pacific, you will be able to sunbathe in the bowsprit, watch for dolphins playing in the bow wave and enjoy the music and entertainment as you cruise. This historic tall ship, named after a famous nineteenth century Fijian war canoe, was built for the Governor General of Fiji in 1957. "Spirit" was built as a training vessel for NZ youth and came to Fiji in 1998.

Upon arrival at Tivua Island, soak up the natural atmosphere where you can swim in the tropical waters, explore the island or simply relax on the pristine sandy beaches. If you're feeling energetic, a selection of water activities such as snorkeling or the use of canoes is included. Absolutely amazing people and experience

Loved this little trip, didn’t take much time to arrive. Was so relaxing and had plenty of food. Nice people and staff all the way through! The island is tiny and easy to go around! Snorkeling was amazing and even saw plenty of baby sharks! Crystal clear waters and magical scenery! I definitely recommend this trip if you want to enjoy a nice beach and island for a few hours!
Amazing day out, great crew, delicious food and beautiful island with good snorkling spots.

We went on a day trip with Captain Cook Cruises to the Tiwa island and it was great. We are a family of 4 and kids are 8 and 12 years of age. We wanted a good spot for snorkling and that's what we got. They picked us up the the resort and took us to Port Denarau for check in and boarding. The ship was comfortable, with morning and afternoon tea provided, drinks and entertainment all the way. The trip to the island took about an hour but we could not feel it, it was very nice and relaxing. When we got there, we could choose a little hut to leave our stuff, and then head to do the activities. We have our snorkling gear and it was just as easy as putting it on and go. There is a place to get it if you don't have it and it looked like they had enough for everyone. There were others paddle boarding and kayaking, all included as well.
We were called for lunch, which was delicious and enough for everyone. The crew was amazing, the island beautiful and a worth day out. Highly recommended.
Beautiful heartful day in island and on the sailing boat

Beautiful day at the island. Only criticism is as I wish we had even half an hour longer there just wasn’t long enough. I snorkelled, sup, kayaked listened to lovely singing. The staff were friendly and entertaining and informative.
Perfect day!

What a perfect day! The sail boat cruise to island was beautiful, slow enough to take in the surrounding islands. Tivua Island is stunning! White sands, crystal clear water. Snorkeling was amazing.
What makes this so special is the crew of ship, so friendly, they go out of your way to make sure your day is special.
We have done other day cruises from Denaru Island but this is our favourite so far.
Great for kids and adults.
Food ❀️ Unlimited drinks ❀️ Destination ❀️

Food was lovely. All inclusive drinks on the island. This wasn’t communicated. Lovely setting. Most staff weren’t really interested until they asked for tips and saying goodbye at the end. In saying that we were sitting in the centre of the boat and only two of them went out of their way to shake our hands or even acknowledge us.
Wonderful island, slow, not great boat ride to/from island for us

This by far was our families favorite island. It was indeed the most beautiful water of all of our day island trips we did. Lunch was good. The water and sand on the west side of the island were soft. Black tipped small sharks swam around us and were really fun to see. Our family of 4 adults would probably skip this tour in the future, however due solely to the boat ride to and from the island. The other day trips we went on to other islands and not Robinson Caruso used higher speed catamarans to and from the port. This group used a catamaran, but once we left the port past the "no wake zone" speed, we literally didn't change speeds, we slowly motored to the island, which took us about 1 1/2 hours to get to the island, which was about the same distance as the other islands we toured days before, and those took 30-45min. For us, this was a drawback as it lent to more motion sickness on the boat, and more time on the boat round trip and less time on the island. We felt we had just arrived at the island when it was time to go back. We unfortunately opted to hire a speed boat ($$$) back to to port vs taking the already paid excursion transport. But we didn't get motion sick in the high speed boat and was back in 25min. If this excursion had a higher speed option to/from the island, we'd do it again in a heartbeat, but unfortunately the slow transport wasn't a good thing for us. Other than that, the island was simply wonderful!!!
